You've opened today's free counties. Names stay hidden for the rest of Florida until tomorrow, or start the trial to see every county.

City, license type and status. No card.

No Florida rows match these filters. Clear a filter or widen the window.

No phone on a filing yet? That usually means you're early. A new filing is often a place that hasn't opened, so there's no listing to call. You get the name and the address now, and we keep looking for a phone for a month and add it when one turns up.

How to look up a liquor license in Florida

Use the DBPR's lookup at www2.myfloridalicense.com to check one license by name, number or address. This page lists what's new, from the same record.

Every row here is a public record Florida publishes. We check each state's rules before we carry it and leave out any that restrict commercial use of licensee lists; so far that's only Kansas. About the data.

Questions about the Florida page

How do I find new liquor licenses in Florida?

The Florida record this page reads lists licenses once they're issued, not applications while they're pending; Florida publishes it at www2.myfloridalicense.com. A newly issued license is the public sign of a place about to open. This page reads that record as often as Florida updates it and lists the new licenses by county, city and license type, each linked back to the record.

Can I get an alert when a new bar or restaurant shows up in Florida?

Yes. The free Watch email sends each week's Florida list on Monday: city, license type, status and date, without business names. A Florida subscription, $79 a month, sends every new filing the morning after it appears, with the business name and address, and for new bars and restaurants a phone number or website looked up online where the state prints none. A CSV, an API and webhooks come with every plan.

How often does the Florida page update?

The Florida source refreshes every weekday, and this page is rebuilt from it each morning.

Where does the Florida data come from?

Every row is read from www2.myfloridalicense.com, the public record Florida itself publishes, and links back to it. Nothing here comes from a reseller or a news report.

What does the free Florida sample contain?

Every Florida filing from one full week a few weeks back, in the layout a subscriber gets: business, address, license type, status, the date filed, and a phone or website where we found one. The link to each state record is left blank; subscribers get it. It downloads ready for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, AgencyZoom or Repsly.

What do the license types mean?

The types you will see most on the Florida page. Full liquor, on-premises (4COP, quota): Full bar with package sales; the quota license a bar or nightclub needs. Beer & wine, on-premises (2COP): Beer and wine by the drink; the non-quota restaurant and cafe license, no spirits. Beer & wine, package (2APS): Beer and wine to go; the everyday convenience, grocery and gas-station license. Full liquor, package store (3PS, quota): Liquor store; a quota license, so it was bought or won in the lottery. Caterer (13CT): Caterer pouring the full bar at events it feeds; no fixed bar. Every row shows the type by its plain name; the i beside it opens the state's own wording.

What is left out?

One-day and temporary permits (weddings, festival booths, charity auctions, tastings), and licenses nobody sells to: wholesalers, suppliers, importers, shippers, carriers, and employee or manager permits. Breweries, wineries and distilleries stay in. The first time we read a state we also treat everything it already listed as the starting point, not as new filings.

What is bd400lic.csv?

bd400lic.csv is the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation's download of every alcoholic beverage license in the state: one row per license, no header, with the licensee, the trade name, the premises and mailing addresses, the license series and the original licensure date. This page reads that file every weekday and lists the retail licenses newly issued in it, so you don't have to open the whole file.
