32 more Texas filings in the last 30 days. Subscribers see them all, with name and address. Many include a phone number. In Texas the email also carries closings and sales, upcoming renewals and who was at an address before, from records back to 1937.
No phone on a filing yet? That usually means you're early. A new filing is often a place that hasn't opened, so there's no listing to call. You get the name and the address now, and we keep looking for a phone for a month and add it when one turns up.
Use the TABC's lookup at data.texas.gov to check one license by name, number or address. This page lists what's new, from the same record.
Every row here is a public record Texas publishes. We check each state's rules before we carry it and leave out any that restrict commercial use of licensee lists; so far that's only Kansas. About the data.
How do I find new liquor license applications in Texas?
Texas publishes them at data.texas.gov, where its tools answer one search at a time. This page reads that record as often as Texas updates it and lists what's new by county, city and license type, each row linked back to the filing.
Can I get an alert when a new bar or restaurant shows up in Texas?
Yes. The free Watch email sends each week's Texas list on Monday: city, license type, status and date, without business names. A Texas subscription, $79 a month, sends every new filing the morning after it appears, with the business name and address, and for new bars and restaurants a phone number or website looked up online where the state prints none. A CSV, an API and webhooks come with every plan.
How often does the Texas page update?
The Texas source refreshes every weekday, and this page is rebuilt from it each morning.
Where does the Texas data come from?
Every row is read from data.texas.gov, the public record Texas itself publishes, and links back to it. Nothing here comes from a reseller or a news report.
What does the free Texas sample contain?
Every Texas filing from one full week a few weeks back, in the layout a subscriber gets: business, address, license type, status, the date filed, and a phone or website where we found one. The link to each state record is left blank; subscribers get it. It downloads ready for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, AgencyZoom or Repsly.
What do the license types mean?
The types you will see most on the Texas page. Mixed Beverage Permit (MB): Full bar; spirits, wine and beer by the drink. Wine and Beer Retailer's Permit (BG): Beer and wine by the drink or to go; no spirits. Food and Beverage Certificate (FB): Rides on an MB, BG or BE; marks the spot as a restaurant rather than a bar, which relaxes the distance rules and the sign. Beer and Wine Off-Premise Permit (BQ): Grocery, convenience or gas-station beer and wine, to go only. Late Hours Certificate (LH): Pours until 2 a.m. instead of midnight; rides on an MB, BG, BE or private club permit. Every row shows the type by its plain name; the i beside it opens the state's own wording.
What is left out?
One-day and temporary permits (weddings, festival booths, charity auctions, tastings), and licenses nobody sells to: wholesalers, suppliers, importers, shippers, carriers, and employee or manager permits. Breweries, wineries and distilleries stay in. The first time we read a state we also treat everything it already listed as the starting point, not as new filings.
